The Americana Collection depicting the old western community of Liberty Falls is sculpted and mastercrafted of the finest materials, then individually hand-painted. This painstaking creative process highlights all the architectural details and heartwarming, homey touches that make Liberty Falls everyone's favorite frontier town.
Like many territorial towns in Colorado and other western states, Liberty Falls at one time had aspirations of becoming the capital city. So much so, that the citizenry got together to build a handsome edifice perfect for political events and entertaining -- and christened it the "Governor's Mansion." As time wore on and Denver was established as the most likely capital for the soon-to-be state of Colorado, this proud blue building found its best use at the disposal of city officials including the Mayor and the town Council members. But even though the edifice was used most often for meetings and gatherings of Liberty Falls "movers and shakers," it still kept the moniker of "Governor's Mansion." In keeping with its original intent, the house was outfitted with a beautiful bedroom suite fit for a king -- let alone a territorial governor. And it was there that many territorial -- and later state -- officials would stay when they came to Liberty Falls on political visits. They always commented on the building's architectural significance and style -- what with its handsome bay windows, steep front steps, and elegant roof lines.
